Biology & Science Teacher

Teach in Chongqing, China

August 2026 start

Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced Biology & Science Teacher to join their dynamic international school community for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver engaging and inquiry-based lessons in Biology & Science to secondary school students.

- Teach across Biology across KS3-4 and Science up to IGCSE level. 

- Create a supportive and challenging classroom environment that encourages students to achieve their potential.

- Assess, record, and report on students’ development, progress, and attainment.

- Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and whole-school initiatives.

- Contribute to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school.

Requirements:

* A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a relevant field (e.g., Science, Humanities, Education).

* A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, teaching license).

* Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting.

* Experience teaching IGCSE/IBDP Biology curriculum is highly desirable.

* A commitment to student-centered learning and intercultural understanding.

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:

Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification

Experience:

2 Years

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)

Must be a native speaker of English

Prefer candidates with international experience

Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualification are NOT accepted

Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted

Non-western trained teachers who have worked in an international educational institute before are NOT accepted

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:

A salary   CNY (Chinese Yuan Renminbi) per month based on experience and qualification, 15-20% Tax is applied

Housing:
