Job Description:

• Client's Battery Pack Production Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated CAD Operator, Digital Engineering.
• The primary responsibility of this role is to lead and support the development and integration of reality capture, AR/VR, and plant / vehicle 3D technologies to benefit the Production Engineering & Manufacturing team during new model development phase with focus on digitalization and long-term sustainment.
• Reporting to an Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Battery Pack Production Engineering department's objective to reduce project lead time and rework through use of reality capture, AR/VR, and 3D technology for the production engineering team.
• Additionally, this person will be the facilitator behind "CAD Support Requests" systems.
• Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Battery Pack Production Engineering department's objective to study vehicle changes & execute future model activities across NAMCs.

Reponsibilities

• Maintain / Support shop Digital twins, including completing the scans, converting the point cloud data, creating Navisworks study files, and support engineer / vendor access to data.
• Maintain / Support equipment 3D library, update with OEM models, scan existing equipment, update models post modification.
• Support AR/VR integration into engineer job way
• Configure AR/VR 3D files and load to headsets.
• Support working group field trials.
• Facilitate integration / issue escalation of DIME supported systems.
• Lead local troubleshooting of systems.
• Support PACCC team cross shop Data / Technology job way adoption / integration.
• Intake requests and organize activity.
• Work with SMEs on efficiency improvement investigations
• Close collaboration between both internal and external groups across client including NAMCs, TMC, TTC, PE support shops, & Plano divisions
• Maintain / Manage shop 2D layouts, X-refs, and kamishibai drawings.

What you bring

• BS in Design Engineering Technology or related field or 2-3 years of equivalent technical or professional experience
• Experience with Laser scanning Hardware / software
• Proficient with Autodesk Products - Autocad , Dynamic blocks
• Proficient with Dassualt Systems Products (Catia)
• Proficient with 3D modeling SolidWorks, Inventor / Revit
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (excel, PowerPoint, word, outlook) (Intermediate)
• Experience with 3D printing
• Experience with project management and status reporting on assigned scope.
• Autodesk Vault experience.
• Ability to work overtime as needed up to 25%.
• Ability to travel up to 25% (30 - 40 possibility as well) both domestically and internationally.
