Position Details

• Status: 1099 Independent Contractor
• Schedule: Part-time, as-needed
• Hours: Varied ( Full Day: 4–8 hours , Half Day: 0–4 hours)
• Coverage Types: vacation, emergencies, illness, maternity, high-volume days & more
• Shifts: clinics often request both advance-scheduled and same-day/emergency coverage; doctors choose which requests they accept
• Travel: statewide opportunities available

Responsibilities

Coverage doctors may perform:

• Chiropractic Adjustments
• New/existing patient exams
• SOAP notes & documentation
• X-rays (if clinic requires)
• Therapies (varies by clinic)
• Report of Findings
• Patient flow management in wellness, PI, pediatric, sports, geriatric & corrective care environments

Clinical Environment

You’ll be matched to clinics based on:

• Your technique proficiencies (Diversified, Thompson, Activator, Drop, Gonstead, Upper Cervical, etc.)
• Patient volume preferences (including potential high-volume offices)
• Any special certifications (Acupuncture, DOT Medical Examiners, Webster, etc)

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Tennessee Chiropractic License
• Active malpractice insurance (occurrence or claims-made accepted)
• 1yr experience (new grads still welcome to apply)
• Compliance with state-mandated continuing education
• Professionalism, adaptability & reliable communication
• Willingness to travel (whenever possible, local doctors will be selected. Otherwise, travel stipend available)
