Job Opportunity: DoD Top Secret Cleared Commvault Administrator
Location: Arlington, VA

Strategic Business Systems, Inc. (SBS) is seeking a Commvault Administrator with an active DoD Top Secret Clearance to join our growing federal portfolio. This is an on-site position (5 days per week) with potential for a hybrid schedule in the future.

Requirements:

• Active Secret Clearance with interest in being upgraded to a Top Secret Clearance (We are unable to sponsor or process clearances for this role).
• CompTIA Security+ Certification (required).

What You’ll Do:
As a Commvault Administrator, you’ll provide vital technical support for a federal client’s Commvault storage systems. Key responsibilities include:

• Performing routine administration of the Commvault environment.
• Reviewing daily backup reports, troubleshooting failures, and improving job success rates.
• Collecting, analyzing, and documenting information about the current Commvault infrastructure.
• Aligning customer policies and procedures with Commvault best practices.
• Resolving and optimizing backup/restore throughput issues.
• Developing solutions for complex data movement challenges, including backups over WAN.
• Managing trouble tickets and driving them to resolution.

What You’ll Bring:

• 2+ years of experience in Commvault Backup Administration (Commvault certifications are a plus).
• Hands-on knowledge of data and information lifecycle management, disaster recovery, and software performance tuning.
• Familiarity with hardware such as storage arrays, SANs, servers, and NAS devices.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to approach IT issues confidently and logically.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, take detailed notes, and perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
