Location: 9601 Spur 591, Amarillo, TX 79107
Facility Type: State Prison (TDCJ)
Pay: Competitive local rates; enhanced pay packages for nurses traveling 50+ miles
Schedule: Full-Time | 12-Hour Shifts | 36/48 Rotation | Day & Night Shifts Available

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join the healthcare team at the William P. “Bill” Clements Unit. The RN will provide quality nursing care to inmates, administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and support patients’ overall well-being in a correctional setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with care plans

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians

• Monitor and document patients’ conditions and communicate changes to supervisors

• Assist with admissions, transfers, and patient education

• Collaborate with other staff to ensure a safe and supportive environment

Requirements

• Active Texas RN license

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience

• Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a correctional environment
