Financial Analyst | Ludington, MI

Salary Range: $70,000 - $104,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and production efficiency.
• Develop and manage annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts for production operations.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and performance dashboards for manufacturing leadership.
• Conduct variance analysis to explain deviations from budget and forecast, focusing on cost of goods sold.
• Perform financial modeling and ROI analysis for capital expenditure projects related to plant upgrades.
• Support inventory valuation, cost accounting, and standard cost setting processes.
• Identify and recommend cost reduction opportunities and process improvements within manufacturing.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and manufacturing variances.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for financial data extraction and analysis.
• Ability to analyze complex operational and financial data to drive cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Experience with advanced cost accounting methodologies (e.g., activity-based costing, standard costing variance analysis)
