Financial Analyst | Montague, MI

Salary Range: $65,000 - $98,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed cost analysis, including standard costing, variance analysis, and cost of goods sold (COGS).
• Prepare and analyze financial forecasts and budgets for production, inventory, and capital expenditures.
• Generate accurate and timely financial reports on plant performance, profitability, and key operational metrics.
• Provide financial support for operational decision-making, cost reduction initiatives, and efficiency improvements.
• Analyze capital expenditure proposals, performing ROI and payback period calculations for new equipment and projects.
• Monitor and analyze inventory valuation, obsolescence, and turnover rates to optimize working capital.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning and operational insights.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills, including advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with cost accounting principles, variance analysis, and inventory valuation in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for financial reporting and data extraction.
• Ability to develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to manufacturing operations.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain dynamics, and their financial implications.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with manufacturing-specific ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor).
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Understanding of supply chain operations and inventory management principles.
