Job Description

VETS, Inc., is looking for an experienced Policy Analyst to join our growing team. This is a fulltime, permanent opportunity with full benefits working onsite at the Pentagon. Du e to security requirements, this position requires an active DoD TS / SCI clearance.

Position requirements:

• Provide technical support to development and maintenance of policy governing the Title 10 DCIPS
• Develop information papers, FAQs, policy proposals, substantive briefing presentations.
• Revise policy, draft policy documents, manage document coordination
• Receive, track, and draft responses to questions from Defense Intelligence workforce
• Support new and ongoing Human Capital initiatives requiring changes to existing policy or creation of new policy

Policy Analyst Duties include:

• Research, organize, analyze, and summarize data;
• Develop preliminary findings
• Assist in drafting written reports
• Assist in developing white papers and briefings
• Assist in preparing and presenting briefings
• Attend and document meetings
• Interact with experienced technical staff, management, and government clients.

Required skills

• Strong and verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient research and analytical skills
• Experience in MS Office Suite
• Ability to work in a dynamic work environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to problem-solve in a time constrained environment
• Ability to take initiative and work independently
• Ability to prioritize tasks
• Military experience, or experience with contracting or the federal government a plus
• Requires a current / Active DoD TS – SCI Clearance
