The Impact You'll Make

Now is a great time to join our Danfoss Power Solutions team in Easley! As a Product Application Engineer, you’ll work with one of the industry’s most extensive and innovative portfolios of hydraulic valves and pumps. Your role will be to identify the best-fit products and customized solutions for our customers — helping them solve complex technical challenges with precision and creativity.

You’ll join a great team that thrives on shared ownership and technical excellence, working in a dynamic and agile environment with diverse tasks and close collaboration across sales, operations, and engineering.

What You’ll Be Doing

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Support customers with expert guidance on hydraulic valve and pump solutions.
  • Translate technical capabilities into clear value propositions together with our sales team.
  • Contribute to application-specific solutions and product customization to match our customers’ exact needs.
  • Participate in product validation, root cause analysis, and technical troubleshooting.

What We're Looking For

Required (basic) qualifications

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written). Other Languages are an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or similar).
  • Experience with hydraulic valves (e.g., spool valves and/or cartridge valves) and/or open-circuit pump systems.

Preferred qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with hydraulic components, validation testing, and failure/root cause analysis is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with CAN-based communication systems and PLUS+1® software is a plus.

Job Criteria

  • A strong team player who thrives in collaborative, cross-functional settings.
  • Customer-oriented and passionate about solving problems in real-world applications.
  • A proactive mindset and ability to drive tasks independently.
  • Structured and comfortable navigating process-oriented environments.

What You'll Get from Us

  1. We promote from within and support your learning with mentoring, training, and access to global opportunities.
  2. You’ll have flexibility, autonomy, and support to do your best work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Your well-being matters to us.
  3. We strive to create an inclusive work environment where people of all backgrounds are respected, and valued for who they are.
  4. You’ll receive benefits like 13th salary, annual bonus, paid vacation, pension plans, personal insurance, and more. These vary by country and contract, but they’re worth asking about—we think they’re pretty great.
