Job Description

The Senior Laboratory Technician supports new product development under the direction of a technical supervisor. With minimal guidance and supervision, performs a variety of experiments and operates laboratory equipment and instruments. The incumbent will be responsible for strict adherence to company safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
• Conducts laboratory experiments and testing procedures under the direction of a technical supervisor. Accurately documents work and findings in lab notebooks.
• Responsible for the installation and operation of laboratory scale equipment used to develop new and improved activated carbons for laboratory and field use.

Qualifications
• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. (Chemistry or chemical engineering concentration OR equivalent experience)
• 2 years+: Experience in operating lab instruments and equipment
• 2 years+: Hands-on mechanical aptitude
• 2 years+: Industrial R&D experience working in a lab • Experience with activated carbon is preferred
