Introduction

Ling is a global language-learning platform based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, offering courses in 65+ popular and niche languages . Our English-language blog plays a key role in helping learners worldwide discover new languages through practical, culture-rich, and learner-friendly content.

We are looking for native speakers of specific languages (Eastern European & Asian languages) who can write high-quality English blog content about their language, culture, and real-life usage. This role focuses on creating content that performs well across traditional search engines, AI Overviews, and LLM-based answer systems , while remaining genuinely helpful to human learners.

Expectations and Outcomes

• Deliver original, well-structured, and factually accurate English content

• Write clear, answer-focused articles that address common learner questions

• Structure content for strong visibility in:

  • Search engines

  • Google AI Overviews

  • LLM-powered search and assistant tools

• Apply editorial feedback consistently and improve content quality over time

• Maintain reliability, communication, and deadline ownership as a freelancer

• Contribute to Ling’s long-term, scalable content ecosystem

Responsibilities

• Write and optimize SEO-focused English blog posts about your native language

• Cover topics related to:

  • Language learning basics

  • Grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation

  • Travel phrases and cultural context

• Use clear headings, short paragraphs, examples, and definitions that are easy for both learners and AI systems to understand and summarize

• Follow Ling’s on-page SEO, content structure, and internal linking guidelines

• Add authentic cultural and linguistic insights from a native speaker’s perspective

• Collaborate with editors, proofreaders, and content managers in a remote freelance setup

Requirements

• Native speaker of the language you are writing about (strongly preferred)

• Ability to write clear, engaging American English

• Strong interest in language learning, culture, and education

• Ability to follow detailed content and SEO guidelines

• Commitment to producing 100% original content (AI and plagiarism checks apply)

• Willingness to complete a paid sample task as part of the hiring process

Desired Qualifications

• Previous experience writing SEO or educational content

• Familiarity with featured snippets, People Also Ask, or AI Overview-friendly writing

• Experience writing for global audiences (US/UK-focused)

• Background in linguistics, education, or language teaching
